New features and enhancements
Fast Operations
With the new MEPLA PRO interface, even complex geometries can be designed quickly and easily. Holes and roundings can now afterwards be created using in-built tools and are refined automatically by smaller elements.
New layer view
The new input interface now makes it even easier to enter your systems. More complex layer structures can now be entered in a comprehensible manner and checked in the view!
Intuitive Process
In MEPLA PRO, the input of geometry, loads and supports is edge-related, which greatly speeds up the time required to create projects. There is no need to go back to the elements or nodes at any point.
New parametric clamp fixings
With the new clamp fixings type 11, any clamp shapes can now be created with holes, curves, bolts and edge protection or even groove recesses. All of these dimensions can be specified using variables and can therefore be customised as required. In addition, a large number of shapes are already pre-installed - but can also be added by the user.
Fast Results
Our special FE methods have been optimised for fast calculation. For example, the calculation can be carried out again immediately after changing the layer thickness, allowing the glass thickness to be dimensioned quickly.
Adaptive mesh refinement
Thanks to adaptive mesh refinement, huge computing times due to tiny elements across the entire disc are a thing of the past! Adaptive mesh refinement automatically refines the mesh at key locations. This saves even more time!
In addition to point supports, the refinement process also takes into account roundings, point loads, line loads and many other entities!
What makes MEPLA PRO special?
Unlike conventional finite element software, there is no need for complex modelling of your systems. Just a few details about the geometry, the layer structure as well as the load and support conditions are sufficient. The otherwise very time-consuming mesh generation and its subsequent optimization are no longer necessary. In MEPLA PRO, the mesh is generated and optimized automatically.
The point and clamp fixings are stored in a database and can be easily selected, parameters changed and immediately be used by setting their position and fastening type. The geometry does not need to be adapted for this!
